The name of this site comes from a family tradition, which we started many years ago. We were born in Russia, and Russians believe in many superstitions. One day, we will write a blog about all the silly superstitions in our family.
1-2-3 Go is a ritual, which we do before every trip.
Here how it goes. Shortly before leaving, everybody in the house (both the travelers and people staying behind) have to sit down in one room. There is a brief period of silence, when we all contemplate the upcoming adventure. Finally, one person says: “One, two, three. Go!” On that command, everybody gets up, picks up their luggage and heads for the door.
We don’t know if this silly ritual really brings luck. More likely, we have good experiences because we enjoy travel, love being together and invest a lot of time in research and planning. Still, we don’t want to tempt the fate, so we start every trip with “1-2-3 Go”.
