The Best Costa Brava Itinerary: Cami de Ronda, Girona, and Dali Museums in Less Than 2 Weeks

After our trip to the Cotswolds, we were keen to go on more inn-to-inn hikes. There’s something truly special about the unhurried pace of such holidays, where each step unveils something new around every corner and over every hill. While this mode of travel wouldn’t allow us to pack in as many sights over a few short days, we were more than willing to make this trade-off for the quality of enjoying each step and a well-deserved rest at day’s end.

With numerous long-distance trails to consider, we looked for something off the beaten path, and this is how we discovered Cami de Ronda. This scenic coastal path winds along the Costa Brava in northeastern Spain, connecting quaint villages, pristine beaches, and hidden coves. Originally utilized as a surveillance route by the Guardia Civil to monitor illegal activities like smuggling, it has now become a beloved hiking trail spanning about 100 kilometers (124 miles), typically completed in 10 to 13 days, depending on one’s pace.

What is Inn-to-Inn hiking (or walking)?

Inn-to-inn hiking is a unique and enchanting way to explore the world on foot, combining the joy of long-distance walking with the comfort of a cozy bed at the end of each day.

Unlike traditional backpacking, where you carry all your gear and camp each night, inn-to-inn hiking allows you to travel light, as your luggage is often transported for you. This enables hikers to cover substantial distances without the burden of heavy packs. A perfect example of this type of holiday is the Tour du Mont Blanc, a famous trek through the Alps that spans France, Italy, and Switzerland, offering breathtaking views and charming accommodations along the way.

Bangalore Office Trip

This post is different because it’s about a business trip. Normally, I wouldn’t be writing about business travel, but this was my first trip to India, I decided to make an exception.

I went to India in October 2022 to visit our team in Bangalore so I could meet people, who I had been working with for over a year. With the pandemic easing up, my company asked all our employees in India to return back to the office, and I timed my trip with this major event so I can meet as many people as possible face to face.

Madrid and Day Trips : 10 Days November Itinerary

We traveled to Spain in November 2023. This was our first European trip since COVID-19 started, and our 3rd attempt to visit Spain. It still surprises us that we finally made it.

November is a wonderful time to visit Madrid. The city experiences mild weather, with temperatures averaging around 60 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees Celsius). It’s also a great time to visit because the crowds are smaller and hotel prices are more reasonable.

2022 Reading Challenge

In 2022, I found a wonderful way to expand my reading horizons and to force myself to read more in general.

I don’t remember exactly how it happened, but I came across The 52 Book Club website, which hosts the annual reading challenges.   Each challenge is composed of 52 different reading prompts with the goal to read 52 books in 52 weeks, each one matching one of the challenge categories.
